World Mental Health Day: Celeb urges everyone to pay attention to the issues of the mind, spread awareness

There has been a growing concern around more and more people facing mental health issues across the globe. Given the taboos, stigmas attached to ailments of the mind many don’t express themselves in the fear of being misunderstood. Things get all the more difficult for introverts. Addressing the issue, celebs share their opinion on World Mental Health Day, October 10. They also reveal if they are introverted or extroverted themselves, and how they deal with certain situations.

Given the nuclear family culture and growing digitization of communication, social skillsets are getting diminished by the day. This has resulted in a larger population of introverts who are not used to sharing their emotional issues upfront. I would classify myself as an extrovert in that sense as I have an ecosystem of close-knit family and friends to share my thoughts and emotions with. Mental health is often ignored. From childhood, we end up hiding our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. It’s time we vent it out. Suppressing things inside is injurious. The collective change has to be brought in with everyone’s efforts.

A Lot of people don’t want to talk about their mental health because they still think that when they talk, people take it in the wrong way, might think that you’re mentally unfit, and consider you an outcast. I do believe people are introverts when it comes to expressing their inner feelings or discussing what’s giving them stress. The fear of getting judged is pertinent. But what they don’t understand is that if they express themselves then they can help themselves and also others also who are suffering from other problems of the mind. We should reach out to these people who are in need of those who would understand and help them. A lot of mental peace comes from within, so you need to help yourself. You have to do the right exercises, yoga, meditation, talk or write down your feelings. And if things go out of hand, feel free to consult doctors.

Most people tend to be introverted when it comes to their own feelings and emotions because sometimes people are being judged 24X7. So that obviously is a scary thing. I feel we all need that one person in our life, could be our friend, mother, father, sibling, husband, wife, anybody, with whom you can express your feelings without being judged. You need to vent it out. There has to be a place where you can do that. If you don’t have such a place, reach out to a therapist. Good mental health should be our priority. It is more important to liberate yourself internally to enjoy your life and be happy. When you have good mental health you can deal with different difficult situations that come your way. One needs to remove the fear of getting judged from within. The day you’ll remove your fear, your anxiety will be calm and you will be able to find a solution for it. Find that one person to whom you can talk about anything, someone who is always there to hold your hand, give you good advice. Accept your flaws, situations, and love yourself. And, stop overthinking and be patient. Meditate, exercise, do yoga, and do things that make you happy. Enjoy your life to the fullest!

Mouni Roy wishes a scrumptious Durgo Puja

With the spirit of Durga Puja in the air, Mouni Roy also seems to be getting into the mood of festivity. Lucky for Mouni, this year her mother has decided to join in her Pujo celebrations at her Mumbai home. In the video, Mouni looks royalty and ethereal in her traditional Bengali get-up and is seen preparing a Pujo special delicacy of Bengal – Began Bhaja and Basanti Pulao to make a #classicimpression on her mother. Durga Puja has always been an occasion for reunion and rejuvenation. It is a celebration of traditional culture and customs, marked with great enthusiasm and zeal. However, this year, for some, the formal parts of religious festivals may change – with Places of Worship operating to different rules. For others, such as Mouni, can find joy in their informal gatherings and family traditions that accompany times of celebration. With Durga Puja being all about new clothes, dance, music, and get-together, it is also about food. Bengalis, for that matter, are known for their love for food, and you will always find them feasting and having fun throughout the day during these five days. In the video, Mouni is also seen celebrating this Pujo preparing a special Pulao for her mother made with India Gate Foods – a special Durga Puja Super Pack.

Here’s why BB15 contestant Vidhi Pandya is trending on Twitter

BB15 contestant Vidhi Pandya is trending on Twitter
Actress Vidhi Padya

Like every season, even the fifteenth season of reality show “Bigg Boss” is already making a lot of noise for some good as well as bad reasons. Speaking of bad, “Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2” actor Vidhi Padya had a very creepy experience in the house which made her trend on Twitter.

So here’s what happened. The jungle waasis and the main house contestants are already at war and are doing anything and everything they can to make the other group’s life miserable. As part of his creepy plan, Pratik Sehajpal tried to scare Vidhi while she was taking a shower. Knowing someone was inside, he started playing with the lock on the door. At first Vidhi thought she was imagining things, but later realised it’s someone doing it from the outside. She got to know that it was Pratik and confronted him for the same. Hearing the entire story, her co-contestants jumped in her support. However, Vidhi was quite clear that she knew that Pratik’s intentions were not wrong, but he shouldn’t have done what he did.

Vidhi was seen telling Tejasswi Prakash that she told Pratik that he can’t do this with anyone, be it a man or a woman, if they are in the shower. But Pratik took it in a negative way and said that she is putting false allegations on him.

Soon after the drama, fans jumped in support of Vidhi and called out Pratik for his behaviour. Here’s what they wrote:

ItsJanhvi_ : This is not cool at all. #BiggBoss15 #BB15 #BiggBoss

divya93858942 : I like the way she kept repeating she knew his intentions aren’t wrong… How come this is women card… #VidhiPandya

survii_singh : And #VidhiPandya is trending in India for the first time… I’m really happy for this girl… Saw today’s matter in #bb15 how maturely she took her stand… More love and power to her

AnandHR_Odia : We stand with #VidhiPandya Pratik is such a disgusting piece of shit. He broke the lock of washroom from outside when a girl was bathing & he is justifying it saying he’s okay if someone does it with his sister. How can someone support this sick person?

Poojasingh_1230 : This time i m gonna vote for #VidhiPandya  She deserves to stay more and showcase her personality. Might be she has less fans on twitter but i want people to vote her as karan teju jay and umar will get saved anyhow. .. @vidhi_pandya7 #BiggBoss15 #BB15

ItsRubiology : He is so shameless .. His is still feeling proud on what he has done with #VidhiPandya #BB15

Awwbhishek_ : Loved how she took a stand for herself and called Prateek out for his creepy behaviour. I find her genuine, real, down to earth and cute  #BiggBoss15 #BB15 #VidhiPandya @vidhi_pandya7

@why_perfidious : So his andh bhakts are justifying saying he didn’t know #VidhiPandya was inside, bro if it’s lock from inside it’s a common sense to understand someone is inside ,& like vidhi said if it was even a boy it’s still wrong #BiggBoss15 #BB15

@watermelqn: “I had good intentions” is not an excuse to get out of a situation like this. What’s wrong will stay wrong no matter what your intentions were. He had no right to touch the lock. Period. #VidhiPandya | #BB15 | #BiggBoss15 | #PratikSehajpal

@Muneebcreation_ : If we can’t stand for #VidhiPandya for this ! We are no one to say if this happen with our sisters or any one ! . #BiggBoss15 #BiggBoss @vidhi_pandya7

@PujjaPanda1602 : I am so proud of this girl . She seems very natural and real . Not a single time I have seen her faking any emotion . I love her as human being . She is very lovely . #VidhiPandya #BiggBoss15

Divya Kumar and Shruti Pathak team up for another romantic Garba track

Post ‘Shubhaarambh’ from ‘Kai Po Che’, Divya Kumar and Shruti Pathak team up for another romantic Garba track With the festive season commencing soon, singers Divya Kumar and Shruti Pathak released their latest Garba track ‘Bhamariyo’. The single was released on TM Music’s official Youtube channel on 6th October and promises to be the love anthem of the festive season. Interestingly, Divya and Shruti have previously sung another Garba track, ‘Shubhaarambh’ from Kai Po Che which at the time was a chartbuster, and ‘Bhamariyo’ is all set to add another feather to their cap. The track will also have Divya Kumar debuting as a composer while Priya Saraiya has penned its lyrics. ‘Bhamariyo’, a Hindi-Gujarati track follows the mind of a woman who sees the man of her dreams for the first time. The thoughts in her mind and heart are what form the crux of the song. Tarsem Mittal, Founder of TM Music believes the song will definitely strike a chord with the youth, “Divya Kumar, Shruti Pathak, and Priya Saraiya are currently some of the most sought after names in the industry. Their songs have generated tremendous response and we believe ‘Bhamariyo’ will create the same magic.” he says. Shruti Pathak who’s glad to be part of the song throws light on its inception, “ ‘Bhammariyo’ is a beautiful composition by Divya Kumar and I loved it the moment I heard it. This is the second time that Divya and I have come together for a song after Shubhaarambh and it’s indeed a pleasure. ‘Bhamariyo’ has been beautifully penned by Priya Saraiya, She’s a natural. In fact, it was entirely her idea to make this collaboration happen. This song wouldn’t have been possible without Priya and of course the lovely melody created by Divya. I’m very thrilled to have sung this. It’s a lovely song, celebrating the essence of Navratri and the beauty of love. I’m sure it’s gonna be a treat for all the Dandiya lovers. Even the video, directed by Jay Bhansali is amazing and it does complete justice to the song. I hope Bhammariyo receives as much love from the audience as I received for Radha ne Shyam.” She smiles. Divya Kumar steps into the composer’s shoes for the song, “The song is about a girl surrendering herself to love. It’s a soft, romantic, pop song with a twist of traditional Gujarati Garba. It’s really special to me for multiple reasons. For starters, this is my first Hindi release as a composer and I am super nervous about it, but equally excited! Most importantly, because I got to work with some amazing people. My closest and oldest friend, Priya Saraiya, who has written the lyrics, is not only a well-known singer but also an amazing lyricist. I am singing with a very dear friend, Shruti Pathak, after a very long time. The audience last heard us together in the song, ‘Shubhaarambh’, from the movie ‘Kai Po Che’, which received so much love from the listeners and I am really hoping Bhammariyo will touch their hearts in the same way! Both these ladies are super amazing in their art and I am glad that I got to collaborate with them and the entire Team at TM Music, who are literally my family.

Kangana on ‘Thalaivii’ success: I’m much more popular now than I’ve ever been

Kangana on ‘Thalaivii’ success: I’m much more popular now than I’ve ever been

Four-time National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut is over the moon with the response her latest movie ‘Thalaivii’ is getting. She credits her team for the success and says that she is much more popular now than she has ever been. Ever since the movie was released on a streaming portal, the film has been trending and this gives a sense of reassurance to Kangana, who says despite her right-wing opinion it even got appreciation from people who follow a ‘Leftist’ approach. Talking to media about feeling like a number one actress, Kangana said: “I do my own thing and I am in my own place. Most actresses are very popular for starring with popular heroes. That’s how actresses have always been. But I have my own light.” She added: “I don’t borrow someone’s else’s light. So, you know, that is a good place to be in. Definitely, I am much more popular now than I have ever been. It is true that right now is the best time of my career. I won’t deny that.” Kangana is happy despite the film being pitted against international content, ‘Thalaivii’, which is based on the life of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and former actress J. Jayalalithaa, did so well. The film showcases the varied aspects of Jayalalithaa’s life, tracing her journey as an actress at a young age to becoming the face of Tamil cinema, as well as the rise of the revolutionary leader who changed the course of the state’s politics. “The film was pitted against a lot of international content. We always made a film that was a quintessential underdog story but we never thought it would be pitted against ‘Squid Game’ and these very popular series which had a huge anticipation.” She added: “All these things have made us feel that eventually even on streaming people who watch high end content and are used to international content essentially they also love the film. It is very reassuring.” Kangana credits “good writing, direction and the fact that everybody was such a good actor in the film.” “It helped a lot.” She talked about her favourite performance in the film. “To be honest Raja Arjun sir’s performance is my favourite performance in the film. He’s so good. He brought a lot of empathy and sensitivity to a negative character. So every actor was so good. Even Arvind Swamy sir brought a lot of emotional content and gripping narrative to the film.” How does all the love coming her way for the film feel? “This has been so healing in terms of all the scrutiny that I went through and I go through for my very right-wing opinions and nationalistic approach to things after that kind of apprciton even from people who have a Left or Communist approach or idealogies even they appreciated my work. And that’s how I feel that art brings everyone together,” she concluded.
