The undisputed Melody Queen of India, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar idolized the late K.L.Saigal, the superstar singer/actor of the ’30s and ’40s who inspired and paved the way for many singers later including herself. All through her childhood, she harbored this great dream and wish to meet him and sing a duet with him. Alas, that was not meant to happen because just a few months before she made a mark on the music scenario, K.L. Saigal, unfortunately, passed away. But this unfulfilled desire lingered on in spite of her meteoric rise and glorious career.

Baiju Mangeshkar (singer/composer and her nephew) expressed this idea to his friend and music associate Jatin Sharma, a composer and very successful music arranger to create a duet using their voices with the help of modern technology. Jatin Sharma rose to this challenge instantly.
